2.2.18 Transferring phone numbers from one subscriber to another
The function of transferring phone numbers from one subscriber to another can primarily be useful to telecommunications operators. Both telephone numbers and periodic services assigned to these numbers are transferred, as well as calls that were made from the beginning of the month to the date of transfer are rerated. Transferring numbers is possible only within the current month or with the subscriber from whom the numbers are transferred, they belong to the last day of the month, and from the beginning of the next month, these numbers belong to another subscriber. It is not possible to transfer phone numbers for past periods.
To carry out the transfer of phone numbers, you need to determine:
- the list of phone numbers that will be ported,
- the personal number of the subscriber to whom they are transferred,
- as well as the transfer date (the date up to and including which the numbers belong to the first subscriber).
In case of any incorrect actions during the transfer of numbers (incorrectly specified phone numbers, the date of transfer or the personal number of the subscriber to whom they are transferred), we recommend that before carrying out this transfer, create a backup copy of the Tariscope database, which in case of incorrect actions will quickly register to the initial state.
In the Tariscope menu, select Communication nodes → the necessary communication node → Subscribers. On the Subscribers page, select the subscriber whose phone numbers will be transferred, click on the Edit icon on the toolbar. The Edit - subscriber page is opened
Click the three-dot button to the right of the Extensions/IP box. A page will open displaying phone numbers belonging to the subscriber. Select the numbers that should be transferred. You can select numbers by pressing the Ctrl key on the keyboard and clicking the left mouse button when the focus is on the required number. If the numbers are consecutive, then for quick selection you can select the first of these numbers, press the Shift key, and click the mouse when the focus is on the last number. An example of phone number selection is shown in Figure 2.2.18.1.

In the On the personal account list, select the subscriber's personal account to which numbers will be transferred.
In the From date calendar, select the date to which the extensions will belong to the first subscriber. The extensions will belong to the second subscriber from this date.
The Comment for A textbox is intended to add information to the descriptions of the telephone numbers (extensions or DNs) transferred from the first subscriber and the services that are associated with those telephone numbers. If such a description is required, please add it. It will be added to existing descriptions.
The Comment for B textbox is intended to add information to the descriptions of the telephone numbers transferred to the second subscriber and the services that are attached to these telephone numbers. If such a description is required, please add it. It will be added to existing descriptions.
Click the Execute button. Extensions will be transferred, periodic services belonging to these numbers will be transferred, these services will be recalculated, calls will be re-tariffed if the transfer date is earlier than the current date.
At the same time, on the phone numbers page of the first subscriber, the date to which they belong to him will be displayed for these numbers (the date that is one day earlier than the date specified in the DN transferring window). An example of this is shown in Figure 2.2.18.3.
