Tariscope 4.6
SoftPI is excited to announce a new version of Tariscope, Tariscope 4.6. Tariscope is a call accounting and billing system that is used in more than 30 countries. The new version of Tariscope includes several new features and bug fixes from previous versions.
New features
1. Linux support
The main feature of the new version of the Tariscope system is the ability to install it on servers with both Windows (Windows 10 or Windows Server 2019/2016) and Linux. Supported Linux versions: Alpine, CentOS, Debian, Fedora, OpenSUSE, Red Hat, SLES, Ubuntu.
WARNING!
Tariscope will no longer support reports developed using the Report Form Designer (with the abr extension). Only RDL (Microsoft) reports will be supported. Some of the abr reports that we thought were most widely used were converted to RDL format. If you are a Tariscope user, you are planning to upgrade to a new version, and you have reports in the abr format, then you need to convert them to RDL format. If you need advice on such processing, contact SoftPI Support. Discontinued support for scripts created with VB. Only C# scripts are currently supported. The standard scripts included in Tariscope 4.6 have been redesigned. If you have individually designed scripts, then you need to rework them under C#.
2. Increased view download speed
Significantly increased the download speed for calls if it has many records, compared to versions of Tariscope 4.5.x.
3. Improved reporting
In Tariscope 4.6, the type of report parameter that you enter when you run the report manually or when you configure the Tariscope Scheduler task settings depends on the type of variable, such as a calendar for a date and a box for a number that allows you to enter only numbers, and so on. . An example of this is shown in Figure 1.
Figure 1
Using a specific type of variable helps prevent errors when setting report parameters.
Constants for report variables are also added (Figure 2).
The constant will substitute the data at the time of report generation. The use of constants facilitates, for example, setting the reporting period.
Figure 2
Now when you manually initiate the report generation, it will be generated in the background. The user will be able to continue working in Tariscope. When the report is complete, information will appear, as shown in Figure 3.

Location of standard reports changed. Now they are:
C:\ProgramData\Tariscope\Reports

4. Tariscope Tasks
The Tariscope Tasks is a service which is intended to automatically execute tasks by schedule.
Simplified work with Tariscope Tasks.
Added the ability to adjust the parameters and format of the report when creating a task in the Tariscope Tasks.
Fixed the work of the buttons to stop and start the task in the Tariscope Tasks. Previously, the buttons did not update their status after the task status changed.
5. Hotel systems
Simplified work with the subsystem of interaction with hotel systems.
Added automatic connection to the data source in case of disconnection in the Hotel Systems service.
Changed the way to find scenarios that are used to interact with hotel systems: C:\ProgramData\Tariscope\HotelSystemsScripts.

Redesigned mechanism for remote Tariscope Observers.
Changed the path for scripts that can be used by Observer services to: C:\ProgramData\Tariscope\ObserverScripts.
