New version of Tariscope 4.6
SoftPI is pleased to announce the release of a new version of the Tariscope billing system 4.6.5. This version includes all updates and fixes that were made between June and December 2023 for version 4.6.4.
New features and fixes
1. Import from an external file of simultaneous charging of one-time services to subscribers
This function is intended for telecommunication providers, i.e. Tariscope Provider users. If you have an one-time service that must be charged to many subscribers, and the information about it is in an Excel file, then you can use the import of such information into the Tariscope system. This allows you to significantly reduce the time spent on entering such information.
A wizard for importing such information is added for this import (Figure 1).
Figure 1
We remind you that charging for such a service can be done separately for each subscriber on the subscriber's account page.
2. Import from an external file of non-working phone numbers
This feature may be relevant for users of the Tariscope Provider edition who provide telephone services and have recurring services tied to telephone numbers. If these services must take into account the period of inoperability of telephone numbers, which is set in their settings, then you should enter information on non-working telephone numbers and the period when they were not working in Tariscope. Such information must be entered monthly. For this, there is a Damages tab in the settings of the subscriber's parameters. With a large number of non-working (damaged) phone numbers, entering such information, clearing the billed services, and then rebilling them for each subscriber can take a long time.
Tariscope has added the function of importing information about damaged phone numbers from an external file into the Tariscope database (Figure 2). This feature automatically recharges the services associated with the damaged phone numbers.

3. New forms of reports for communication operators
New report forms are added to the Tariscope installation file, which are intended for telecommunication providers, who are Tariscope Provider users.
Charging of one-time services
This report displays the list of one-time services charged to subscribers during the selected month. The names of the services, the number of charges for each of them, the amount of the charge and the total amount for all one-time services are displayed. An example of such a report is shown in Figure 3.

Charging of periodic services
This report displays a list of all periodic services charged to subscribers during the selected month. The names of the services, the number of charges for each of them, the amount of the charge and the total amount for all periodic services are displayed. An example of such a report is shown in Figure 4.

All charges
This form of the report displays the aggregated charges during the selected month for all subscriber calls, for periodic and one-time services. An example of such a report is shown in Figure 5.

4. New data source in Tariscope Observer: Radius accounting server
Added the ability to create several Radius accounting servers that work on different IP ports (Figure 7).
Figure 7
This feature may be necessary when the user has multiple telephone systems that send CDR data to the Radius accounting server. Tariscope Observer is bound to a specific phone system. Therefore, in the case of several telephone systems, you can use one Radius accounting server, but all calls from different telephone systems in Tariscope will belong to only one PBX. It was to be able to analyze completed calls for each of the PBXs that such an opportunity was added. Currently, Tariscope only has a parser for SBC (Ribbon Communications), which can receive data from the Radius accounting server. If you have other phone systems that use the Radius accounting server to transmit CDR data, please contact our support team.
5. New parser for receiving CDRs from SBC (Ribbon Communications)
A parser for the SBC gateway of the Ribbon Communications company has been added to the Tariscope system in addition to a dozen other parsers. This parser receives CDR data from the Radius accounting server. Only one of the Stop packets sent by SBC gateways to the Radius server is processed.
6. New parser for receiving CDRs from Terratel voice gateways
A parser for Terratel voice gateways is also added to Tariscope.
7. Saving Tariscope presets for working with an SSL certificate
In previous versions of Tariscope, when installing a new version, a file containing information about the use of the HTTP or HTTPS protocol was overwritten. HTTP is used by default. Therefore, if the user had HTTPS installed in the previous version, it was changed to HTTP during the update. And it was necessary to update this setting again. In the new version of Tariscope 4.6.5 there is no such need. The file with this setting does not change when installing a new version.
8. Fixed toolbar when scrolling
For most pages of the Tariscope system, the toolbar was fixed when scrolling data. But it didn't work on the View and Report pages. Now the toolbar is fixed at the top of these page too when scrolling the page data, which is more convenient for use.
9. Changing the subscriber ID field to the personal account ID
In the table, when manually adding payments, which were received from subscribers, in the Subscriber accounts page, the field of the subscriber's identifier (ID) was replaced by the identifier of the personal account (Account ID), and this field can be searched (Figure 8).

All users of the Tariscope system who have warranty (technical) support can upgrade to the new version of Tariscope 4.6.5.
Users who are out of warranty (technical) support must purchase either technical support or a system version upgrade to use Tariscope 4.6.5. Both purchase options are equivalent in capabilities and price.
