New version of Tariscope 4.7.1
SoftPI announces the release of a new version of the Tariscope Enterprise 4.7.1 call accounting system and Tariscope Provider 4.7.1 billing system. Tariscope 4.7.1 includes all updates and fixes that have been made since the release of the previous version, 4.7.0.
New functions
1. Generating a group of reports
In all previous versions of Tariscope, on the Reports page for reports related to subscribers, it was possible to specify the generation of a report for only one subscriber by specifying its identifier. In Tariscope 4.7.1, you can specify the generation of reports for both one and a group of subscribers. In this case, the group of subscribers can be specified as a list of identifiers separated by commas, or as a range of identifiers. For example: 6173, 6189, 7130 - 7148
2. Updated importing subscriber parameters from a file
Updated the wizard for importing subscriber parameters from a file. Fixed the entry in the subscriber address database. It is now possible to specify a group of subscriber phone numbers (DNs) in one line of the file for their import. This will primarily be useful to Tariscope Provider users, because there are frequent cases where subscribers have more than one extension (DN). In the file cell for phone numbers, you can specify these extensions as follows (this is an example for 4-digit extensions): 2013, 2014, 2150 – 2179, 2240 – 2280, 2310
3. New API method: providers.list
This method allows you to retrieve information on the telecommunications provider parameters from the Tariscope database, especially the provider identifiers for outgoing and incoming calls. The latter identifier can be used for the tariff.details API method, for example, to retrieve tariff parameters for outgoing calls only.
4. Updated API method of tariff.details
The tariff.details API method existed in previous versions, but in some cases, it could provide incomplete information. This bag has been fixed in Tariscope 4.7.1.
5. German interface
A German interface was added to Tariscope 4.7.1.
6. Updated report forms
In Tariscope 4.7.1. some report forms have been updated. For existing Tariscope users, to install the updated report forms, you should remove the report forms installed by the previous version of Tariscope. Be careful if you have any self-developed report forms so as not to remove them as well.
Tariscope database update
Tariscope 4.7 database updated to version 238. In previous versions of Tariscope, if the processed phone number was longer than 19 characters, the stored procedure ab_engine_getabonent threw an error when converting the phone number to BIGINT format. In database update 238, a check for the length of the phone number was added. If this number is longer than 12 characters, and extensions (DNs) do not have a longer length, the procedure is terminated.
Error correction
1. Correct execution of Tariscope Observer scenarios
In previous versions of Tariscope, if some scripts were used for Tariscope Observer, for example, to set and remove restrictions for subscribers on making some type of calls, then if any failures occurred, for example, in the network between Observer and PBX, the action that the script was performing at that time was considered completed. This could lead to the subscriber's restriction either not being set or not being removed. This defect has now been fixed.
2. Fix message time
On the Tariscope information ribbon, which is green, when certain events occur, for example, when reports are generated, a notification icon appears. When you hover over it, the date, time, and the message itself are displayed. In previous versions of Tariscope, the time was displayed without a time offset, i.e., it always displayed UTC +0 time, not local time. This has now been fixed and local time is displayed.
Usage of Tariscope 4.7.1 by existing users
All Tariscope system users who have warranty (technical) support can upgrade to the new version of Tariscope 4.7.1.
Users whose warranty (technical) support has expired must purchase either technical support or a system version upgrade to use Tariscope 4.7.1. Both purchase options are equivalent in terms of features and price.
The price of the Tariscope 4.7.1 billing system (Enterprise and Provider) remains the same as the price of the Tariscope 4.7.0 system.
To migrate from previous versions, starting from 4.6.0 and up to 4.7.0 inclusive, you do not need to perform any additional actions, for example, uninstalling the previous version. The only thing recommended is to stop the Tariscope Observers and Tariscope Tasks (Scheduler) before running the installation file.
