Instructions for migrating Tariscope users from previous
versions to Tariscope 4.6
Once again, Tariscope 4.6 uses only RDL reports. ABR reports are not supported. Some of the ABR reports that we considered the most used were converted to RDL format. But not all ABR reports are converted to RDL format. Therefore, if your company is a user of previous versions of Tariscope, your company has technical support from SoftPI, and you plan to upgrade to Tariscope 4.6, it is recommended that you contact our support team and let us know which of the standard Tariscope reports you are using. If such a report has not yet been made, we will create it.
- Stop and remove all Tariscope services. These can be services: Tariscope Observer, Tariscope Scheduler, Hotel Systems, TSMAIN.
- Create the folder C:\ProgramData\Tariscope\UserReports and move all self-created RDL reports to it. If there are no such reports, go to the next item.
- Create the folder C:\ProgramData\Tariscope\ObserverScripts and move all the scripts for the Observer services that you created yourself to it. If there are no such scripts, go to the next step.
- Create the folderC:\ProgramData\Tariscope\CurrencyProfile and move to it all exchange rate profiles that you have created yourself. If you do not have such profiles, go to the next item.
- Create the folder C:\ProgramData\Tariscope\HotelSystemsScripts and transfer to it all the scripts that were created independently. If there are no such scenarios, go to the next step.
- Export Observer service profiles.
- Remember which RDL reports you have shared. Then they will have to re-establish the status of common.
- Remember the list of tasks and their Tariscope Tasks settings. Delete all tasks. They will need to be re-created.
- Remove Tariscope and all its components.
- Install Tariscope 4.6.
- Execute the activation request because the activation key from previous versions is not supported in Tariscope 4.6.
- Generalize the RDL reports that you memorized in step 7.
- Import the Observer service profiles you created in step 6.
- Create Tariscope tasks using the information in step 8.
- Reset the Notification and mailing page settings if you used messaging.
- Reconfigure Smart Assistant settings if you used them.
- Reconfigure Hotel Systems settings if you have used this service.
