Tariscope 4.5.x. Administrator's guide
Upgrading from previous versions of Tariscope to Tariscope 4.5
To migrate to Tariscope 4.5 from previous versions, you should perform a series of actions.
- Create a full backup of the Tariscope database.
- Remember in what form the data is presented in the settings of the service provider. For example, 0038057, where 00 is an international access code, 380 is a country code of Ukraine, 57 is an area code of the Kharkiv region. This information will be used on the 10, 11 steps of upgrading. Pay attention to the presence or absence of the '+' sign before the codes, the presence or absence of exit codes for long-distance and international calls.
- If you perform the upgrade from Tariscope 3.4 - 4.0, you must to archive or remove all unnecessary calls from the Tariscope database.
- Install Tariscope 4.5. During installation, in the Components selection window, select Tariscope applications only or update.
- In Windows, click on the Start button. Select the Tariscope folder. Select the Tariscope Start program.

Otherwise, you will receive the message about a connection error. In the latter case, adjust the connection settings. - In the Migrate telephone codes window (Figure 2), in the Common parameters section specify:
- Long distance code (usually it is 0).
- International code (usually it is 0).
- Country code.

In the Select the format of your codes section, the country and area code options appear.

- Click Start. The country and area codes will be migrated to the new code structure.
- If you had views for calls and services in the desktop version of Tariscope that you would like to transfer to Tariscope 4.5, decide for which user of Tariscope 4.5 you want to migrate the views. If such a user is not already in the system, then you need to run Tariscope 4.5 and create the required user. We recommend that you migrate for the system administrator (webadmin) who was created during installation and then, if necessary, give other users of the system access to the necessary views.
- To migrate views, in the Tariscope Start window (Figure 1), select Tools → Migrate the views. The Migrate views window appears, an example of which is shown in Figure 5.
