Tariscope 4.5
SoftPI is excited to announce that Tariscope 4.5 is now available. Tariscope is a call accounting and billing system that is used in more than 30 countries. The new Tariscope version contains a number of innovations and bug fixes of the previous version.
Innovations of Tariscope 4.5
Fully web application
Now Tariscope is a fully web application. It is accessible on a computer, tablet or smartphone. The Tariscope 4.5 installation package contains all modules required for its work. We will not develop the desktop version of Tariscope. And we offer all our users who use the desktop version to migrate to Tariscope 4.5. It is possible if you have warranty support.
Microsoft SQL Server 2017 installation in the Tariscope package
The previous version of Tariscope included the installation of Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Express edition. The current installation package includes Microsoft SQL Server 2017 Express edition that is more productivity than SQL Server 2014. At the same time, the user can use another edition of Microsoft SQL Server 2017 or 2014.
Significant expansion of number of telephone area codes
Tariscope 4.5 uses common telephone area codes for all providers (Figure 1).
Figure 1
In the previous versions every provider had its own set of area codes and when you changed a code, you should have done this for all providers which you used in Tariscope. The number of area codes supplied with Tariscope 4.5 has increased significantly.
New engine of interaction with 3CX
The interaction 3CX v.15.5 with third applications was changed. Therefore, Tariscope 4.4.x could not monitor calls in the real time and the Tariscope restriction feature was not supported. We upgraded the Tariscope subsystem to interact with 3CX v. 15.5 - 16. And Tariscope 4.5 allows you to monitor calls in the real time and applies restrictions for subscribers. The settings for this are shown in Figure 2.
Figure 2
Also, you can import subscribers from 3CX into the Tariscope database. This allows you to synchronize subscribers in Tariscope with 3CX (Figure 3).

Added PWA support
The work with Tariscope 4.5 is executed via a Web browser. If you want to have more area on the display for Tariscope application similar to desktop applications, use Tariscope 4.5 as progressive web application (PWA). An example of this is shown in Figure 4.

You can save a shortcut for Tariscope. When you click on the shortcut, Tariscope Web Administrator is run in the separate window.
Migration of views from the desktop version
If you are the Tariscope user and you wish to use the current Tariscope views from the desktop version in Tariscope 4.5, there is an ability to import them into Tariscope 4.5. Select the Migrate the views item from the menu of the Tariscope Start application. A list of views from previous version appears as shown in Figure 5.

Select the desired user and views and click Migrate. A list of view fields, filters and other parameters of the views will be migrated into Tariscope 4.5.
Tariscope integration with SureTax (Wolters Kluwer)
This feature may be relevant for US telecom operators who want to charge taxes using the SureTax application by Wolters Kluwer. Tariscope sends the charged services to SureTax and receives taxes from it. This will allow you to always correctly charge taxes on communication services. To use this feature, you need an agreement with Wolters Kluwer. An example of settings to interact with SureTax is shown in Figure 6.

Support of RDL report to work with PostgreSQL database
Both Tariscope 4.5 and Tariscope of previous versions support RDL reports. But Tariscope of previous versions could work only with the Tariscope database. Tariscope 4.5 can work both the Tariscope database and PostgreSQL database that, for example, allows you to create report forms using 3CX database that uses PostgreSQL.
Fields order in the views
In views of Tariscope Web Administrator 4.4.x, a user could not to set an order of fields of the view. Tariscope 4.5 allows you to do this.
SQL queries
We added the ability to create SQL quires to the Tariscope database. Sometimes it is necessary to quickly execute an action with database. An example of this feature is shown in Figure 7.
Figure 7
To use this feature, the user must have administrator rights.
Unpackaging CDR file for SFTP data source
This feature can be relevant to Tariscope uses with Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise (Alcatel-Lucent OXE) who want to collect CDR data using SFTP. CDR data from Alcatel-Lucent OXE are packed with 7-Zip. The Tariscope Observer 4.5 has an ability to unpack the received data (Figure 8).

Phone book for subscribers
A subscriber has the ability to keep their own phone book. The information from the phone book is displayed in the Tariscope Personal Area when the subscriber browses calls data. He can see a subscriber name with whom he communicated and use this name to filter calls data. The Phonebook page of Tariscope Personal Area is shown in Figure 9.
