Tariscope 4.5.3
SoftPI is excited to announce a new version of Tariscope, Tariscope 4.5.3. Tariscope is a call accounting and billing system that is used in more than 30 countries. The new Tariscope version contains a number of innovations and bug fixes of the previous versions.
Innovations of Tariscope 4.5.3
Predicting the amount of month charges to the subscriber using artificial intelligence
This feature may be relevant for Tariscope Provider edition users. One of the tasks that telecom operators have before generating invoices or receipts for customers is to verify the correct charging of services to customers. With a large number of customers, this task can take a long time. Therefore, Tariscope added the ability to create month charge models for customers using artificial intelligence and create a list of customers whose charges for the current month is significantly different from the usual charges (Figure 1).
Figure 1
If the current charges are significantly different from the normal accrual amount, it doesn't mean that charge error has yet occurred. Because, for example, the subscriber could purchase a new service, so the current charge is different from the usual one. But such charges are recommended for verification before sending the invoice to the subscriber.
New widget for the dashboard
A new widget for the dashboard has been developed to display the results of the month charge prediction feature. It reflects a list of customers whose current month charges are significantly different from that assumed (Figure 2).

New rights of the user
A new type of the user rights was added. It is named Access Smart Assistant. The right allows the user to use the prediction of the month charges for customers. The system administrator may assign this right to other users (Figure 3).

Other improvements in Tariscope 4.5.3
-
The settings of some Tariscope system services are simplified, namely: communication with the Hotel system, Flow collector and Tariscope Tasks.
-
In views for calls, services, and traffic, the ability to copy any table cell or the entire row was added.
-
Two new call types were added to the system: Free line is used for calls to phone numbers with code 800, Toll line is used for calls to phone numbers with code 900.
-
A new task type has been added to Tariscope Tasks. This is the Group of tasks. Tariscope Tasks performs tasks by the group in the set order. There are the following task groups:
4.1. Independent chain. Each next task in the group will be run without analyzing the result of the previous task.
4.2. Dependent chain. Each next task in the group will only be run if the previous task was successfully executed.
4.3. Independent chain with feedback. Running tasks in a group is similar to item 4.1, but if any task fails, it will be attempted again. The number of task attempts is configured. If all attempts are exhausted, but the task did not succeed, the next task in the list will be run.
4.4. Dependent chain with feedback. This group is similar to item 4.3, but if the attempts are exhausted and the task has not completed successfully, the next task in the list will not be executed. The execution chain stops.
4.5. Run all together. All tasks in the group will be run simultaneously in different threads, without queuing them. -
The MissedReaction.cs script has been developed to quickly receive information by e-mail about unanswered incoming calls.
-
Added HTTPS support. Tariscope can work both over HTTP and over HTTPS. Added the ability to set multiple ports for HTTP and HTTPS via semicolons (;). At the same time, Tariscope can work on several IP ports.
-
Two new widgets have been added to the dashboard: Request to database (tabular) and Call Statistics+.
The Request to database (tabular)widget allows you to display query results with multiple fields in the tabular form. The Call Statistics+ widget allows you to plot calls based on the filter for some field of the database. -
When creating a new call view to specify data filtering parameters, the possibility of multiple selection for the call source and call target was added. It can be applied:
8.1. For subscribers.
8.2. For telephone numbers.
8.3. For groups of subscribers.
8.4. For routes and gateways.
When you create a new call view, a search for the source and destination of the call was added to specify the filtering parameters: for subscribers and for telephone numbers. -
In the Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise (OXE) PBX settings, the Extended duration information switch was added. It allows you to use different call duration fields from the CDR file. When the switch is off, the Duration field is used. This field to addition to the call duration includes the ring duration. When the switch is enabled, the EffectiveCallDuration field is used. This field includes only the call duration. Depending on whether your CDR data has value in the EffectiveCallDuration field, you should enable or disable this switch.
-
In the SI3000 settings, the Processing using the numbering plan switch was added. It should be enabled when AMA files contain tandem calls of subscribers, that is the subscribers are connected to another PBX.
Fixes
- Fixed the email check when creating the Tariscope administrator.
- Fixed caching license key settings. In the previous versions, it was possible that after applying the new key, the previuos key settings were used.
- A list of other cases that can be found in the version history.
