Reporting
Reporting is a one of the most important feature of both a call accounting software and telecom billing system. Tariscope has a powerful reporting system allowing to get all kinds of information about calls, subscribers, customers' accounts, services, rates, traffic, and many others.
There are two ways to create reports in Tariscope:
- Simple reports. The required information can be chosen in the Tariscope views and then it can be printed or exported.
- Report form. A report is generated on base of a report form.
Simple reports
Simple reports can be generated from the tables of the Tariscope views. In these views the Tariscope users can:
- filter out the required information;
- sort the data on one or group of fields;
- choose for a report only the fields that are necessary;
- group the data on any field.
We lists a few reports that can be created this way:
- all calls of a particular subscriber for the required period of time;
- all calls of groups of subscribers for the desired period of time, sorted, for example, by date, time, or subscriber number;
- only outgoing (or incoming, or transit) calls of a subscriber or group of subscribers for the desired period of time;
- outgoing long-distance (international) calls of a subscriber or group of subscribers, sorted by the cost of calls;
- outgoing long-distance (international or / and on the mobile operators) calls, sorted by calls destinations (names of cities or mobile operator names);
- all calls to certain routes or group of trunks;
- calls with duration more than the given value;
- incoming calls with the ring time more than a given value;
- incoming calls were not answered;
- Internet sessions of a particular subscriber;
- grouped information on incoming calls of a subscriber;
- grouped information on destinations of calls;
- and others.
It is difficult to imagine all the possible requests of the users on the report creation. But most of them can be met by using simple filters.
The information of the simple reports can be printed or saved in files of the following formats:
- PDF,
- Excel (Microsoft),
- html,
- Access (Microsoft),
- text.
In addition the Tariscope user can create a chart based on the data of the Tariscope views.
Report forms
With the help of report forms can be created almost any desired report in tabular or graphical form on any data contained in the Tariscope database. These forms of reports are based on SQL queries to the Tariscope database. They can contain scripts for additional data handling, support the formatting of fonts, allow you to insert pictures, for example, such as your company logo, signature, etc.
These reports can be created by the user initialization of the respective mode of Tariscope or automatically at a specified time and / or at specified intervals.
Tariscope includes a set of report forms (more 140) created with the Report Form Designer program that is included in Tariscope, or by using the Microsoft Report Builder.
Automatic report generation
If you need to generate reports by scheduler, it should be used the Tariscope Tasks service. It allows to configure the following parameters:
- first start;
- generation period;
- to create a separate report for each subscriber;
- a folder where reports will be saved;
- a mask for a file name;
- an email address of a subscriber to send reports;
- a file format.
The Tariscope Jobs supports the following file formats:
- pdf,
- xlsx,
- xls,
- xml,
- mdf,
- csv,
- txt,
- html,
- htm,
- prt.
Subscriber access to reports
As mentioned above, reports can be sent to subscribers by email. In addition, reports can be saved in a folder and a subscriber will have an access to the reports through the Tariscope Personal Area. The Tariscope Personal Area provides Web Access to reports for the subscriber in any daytime.
